Angels Foundation Donates $10,000 to Nagourney Cancer Institute

Sue Allen, lung cancer survivor, joins Dr. Robert Nagourney at Angels Stadium to accept a $10,000 donation from the Angels Baseball Foundation to further specific research projects of the Nagourney Cancer Institute, Long Beach, CA. Sue Allen, now 3 years since diagnosis of inoperable advanced lung cancer, was treated with a personalized treatment regimen identified for her in Dr. Nagourney’s laboratory. Using laboratory techniques developed by Dr. Nagourney, patients receive treatments tailored to their individual cancers. Thanks to Dr. Nagourney’s approach, Sue Allen is healthy and well, enjoying the Los Angeles Angels with her husband and 5-year old son. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in American with an average survival of 1 year or less. Through the generous support of the Angels Foundation, patients like Sue Allen have new hope in their fight against cancer.
